I am in the midst of installing my D & D Disc brake conversion. Because I have am American Racing set of aluminum wheels with a thick wall I needed longer studs than the ones shipped with the kit. The issue with kit is the rotor center is substantially larger than the hub which means you need to rely on the studs to center the rotors on the hub. The provided studs work that way but fix the rotor to the hub; difficult for maintenance. I researched the Dorman options and couldn't come up with a 1/2 x 20 option with the right knurl and shoulder length and diameter to press fit into hub and disc plus give me about 1/4" additional length. Luckily I found an option in 9/16" diameter, Dorman 610-284 is perfect because the knurl is short and only presses into the hub but the shoulder is twice as long as the knurled part and is machined to precisely the correct diameter to properly center the rotor. As a bonus the rotors are easily removed for replacement or machining. Just thought someone else might benefit.
