Post subject:  Ford gauges that fit Econolines

I just learned that the '61-'67 Econos can use the gauges from the '67-'79 F500 (and larger) trucks. Is this true? I'm told the Econoline was only available with idiot lights and these gauges can be installed into the Econos dash, where the lights are. Here is a pic. Does anyone have a picture of an Econoline dash to compare?

This is on in my F100, it is a little clearer.

I hate to reply to my own post but, I found this picture in the album section. It does look like they might fit.

Any info anyone has would be great! Thanks.

The four gauge instument panels were an option on the 61 to 67 econos. Yes, the gauges from the big trucks will swap but not sure of the years - best to measure. Ducks is ducks no confusion there

Thanks Jim, for replying. I am going to grab any one of these gauge panels I come across. Seems a lot of people are looking for them. :D

Some Econolines also had full guages, not all were idiot lights. While Im not exactrly certain on the guages themself,I do know the black backing plate is interechangeable and it is marked off in increments for the guages where the Econoline panel isnt. Its a nice little upgrade most folks wont even notice.
