The cargo floor of my truck is rippley from years of abuse. No rust, but looks awful. Any ideas for a better appearance ?

Hey Smitty!
I just covered everthing up with aluminum diamond plate. Not the cheapest, but pretty easy. Wood looks good too, if your handy with a saw. I cut things twice & they're still too short!!
Like I said before, when I get some help from the wife I'll post some pictures. M.S....

I had one like that and I put down a sheet of plywood.

You could heat it up and bang it straight, but that would be a huge undertaking.

If the floor is rippled then the metal has been stretched and know amount of hammering will get it back to its original shape. Old time body guys I have known could get the metal to actually shrink some by using a little bit of heat and softly working outside of the heat with a body hammer & dolly. I'm not that patient.

I found some neat rubber matting material on the net.

American Floor Mats , located in Rockville, Maryland. It looks like Diamond Plate and comes in colors. They sent me some samples. Only comes in 4 ft wide but I think I could make it work.
