Went and picked up my 62 econoline pick-up from my father-in-law yesterday, I let him give it the shake down after I got it back road worthly.
Anyway, we haven't adjusted the brakes since we got it going so as you all know i'm sure unadjusted brakes mean you just keep pushing that pedal down hoping and praying the truck stops. So 1st thing i did when I got it home yesterday jacked it up and adjusted all 4 drums. Much more pedal and truck now can stop.
So i drove it into work and got a red light nothing like hitting the brakes to have it pull to one side and lock up a tire, all for a red light. You know the red light i'm talking about to far to clear the intersection but to close to make a nice and easy stop. Well i stopped with plenty of room but sure would like to have front disc brakes.

Disc brakes are on the list but some how when I made my wish list money was also on the list instead of in hand!!!

yeah, mines started pulling violently to one side, but with the pound being so weak importing a disk kit is way too much money at the moment :(
