So my wife and i go to Billetproof in Antioch CA yesturday(as always THE BEST event on the left coast) and after we go see this guy who has some old trucks for sale, including a 66 Econoline PU!

Now i already have a 63 base truck, 144, 3 speed, no glove box door, no quarter windows, you know the striper(NO not that kind of striper) anyway i have been get'n ready to start work'n on her and have been collecting parts and info.It has very little rust, but the bedfloor is rumpled, the cab bulkhead isn't perfect and it has enough holes in it to resemble a certain type of cheese. However it is complete and has some nice details.

But this 66 is SWEET, VERY little rust, a straight bedfloor, 5 windows, a C4 w/crossmember, 9 inch rear axel and virtually no body damage and to top it off shes got the stainless side trim all there and in VERY GOOD condition. There is no engine, the doghouse is modified(?) to accomodate a V8, and someone cut the dash for an 8 track sometime ago.But my wife likes the 5 window, wants an automatic and found the stainless trim attractive. What ya gonna do?

So i bought it.

Anyone look'n for a very doable 63? :?

Swifty, that's a common occurence. It starts with one, then 2,then who knows how many. Soon you will be like me and have a driveway full of them if you arent careful. Its called Econolitis, the dreaded fear of not owning all of them:-) Curable, sure, but why:-)
